Every bull market must have a main narrative line. All projects on this main narrative line will take off, and all those who catch up with this main narrative line will make a fortune.
Why is there a narrative thread?
-- Considering capital and institutions
After the baptism of the bear market, users tend to be numb. Without enough stories, users cannot be moved to enter the market. Even after entering the market, without enough stories, users cannot be attracted to hold on for a long time. Projects that cannot hold on for a long time are likely to die before they become popular. New narratives are often new projects. All the chips of new projects are in their own hands, so of course they are more willing to promote them.
--From the user's perspective
The hot spots in the last round of bull market have all been played out, and there is no money to be made. For example, if you were asked to invest in ICO in 2018, would you still be interested? You are more willing to participate in projects that have a money-making effect, so new hot spots and new narratives are often more likely to have a money-making effect.
-What has been the main narrative thread over the past few years?
Because I entered the cryptocurrency circle in early 2017, my memory and summary of the cryptocurrency circle can only start from 2017.
2017 ICO+hard disk mining+platform coin trading mining in the early stage
2018 Platform Coin Mining + Centralized Issuance of Platform Coins + Public Chain Boom
2019 IEO
DeFi boom in 2020
DeFi residual heat + gamefi + NFT + local dog rampant in 2021
Airdrop craze in 2022
2023 xxrc20
-What can we do now that we know the main narrative line?
--avoid risk
---In 2017, I participated in hard disk mining, hard disk mining, Wanke Cloud, newifi, n1 and nearly 10 other types. I know that the price of hard disk mining hardware will be skyrocketed in the early stage. The profit of buying mining machines in the early stage is very high, but you must sell the machines when the annualized return is amazing, otherwise the annualized return will drop rapidly and the machines will also depreciate rapidly. If the annualized return can be maintained, then more and more amazing funds will be required to maintain it, which is obviously impossible. So I avoided investing a lot in fil, chia and related ecosystems.
---In 2017, I participated in the early DT Dragon Network trading and mining. I saw that the daily profit was several tens of percent, which was very scary, but there was no chance to recover after the collapse. So I participated in FT as soon as possible, and also left at a high position and never touched it again.
---The narrative of each bull market is almost never repeated. I was brainwashed by EOS in 2018 and held a large amount of EOS. Later, I found that a hot opportunity would not be repeated, because the institutions have given you the goods, and they will take them back at a high price? Obviously impossible, so once they sell it to you, they will either buy it back at a very low price and continue to play with you, or they will match a few institutions or exchanges again, create a new project, and continue to make up stories to sell it to you. This is actually the essence of most projects in the currency circle. So after that, I never ambush the hot spots of the last bull market, avoiding losses and less profits.
--Get more profit
Because we know that the bull market narrative is not repeated, we can ambush the hot leader when there is a hot spot that may become the main line of the bull market narrative to obtain extremely high returns. For example, when DeFi was popular, ETH was popular, so we laid out TRX; when HECO was popular, we bought BNB+CAKE; when BSC was popular, we bought AVAX, FTM, MATICA, and the leaders of DEX and LEND. This is certainly not very safe. I classify this as a small fight for a big gain. In fact, except for a slight loss in Celo, the other gains were quite substantial. Someone is very smart and wants to ask, why didn’t ETH lay out HECO when it became popular, but TRX? At that time, HECO did not exist, and TRX was considered the earliest public chain in the DeFi ecosystem. How do you know the next potential for layout? Learn more, read more, and check my Twitter more. I will tell you when I see it.
-What is the main narrative of the next bull market?
The main narrative of the bull market is definitely not a project worth hundreds of millions of dollars right from the start. It usually gives you a long period of low-cost buying opportunities. And the story is no longer a story of playing out. Here we first exclude a few popular ones: public chain, L2, dot, fil.
Why do we single out dot and fil? Because cross-chain and decentralized storage are good, but these two projects are rotten, too many locked-in shares, and the early market value is too large, so there is no chance for them to rise. Instead of continuing to work on this project, it is better to launch a new one.
It may be too early to say this now, but from what I can see now, BRC20 is a very good opportunity to make a small profit.
BRC20 is the leading ecosystem of Bitcoin, and OKX has basically invested all its money, but its market value is only over 1e USD. The market value of Ethereum ecosystem is Ethereum. I have not calculated it in detail, but I roughly estimate that the market value of TVL plus tokens should exceed the market value of ETH. Assuming that Ordi will only have 10% of the market value of BTC in the end, and BTC will be 3 times of BTC in the bull market, and 90,000 USD in the bull market, Ordi will be 900e USD. There is still room for hundreds of times.
This is the ecosystem of Bitcoin. No one knows whether Ethereum will die in the future, but Bitcoin must be eternal. The ecosystem of Bitcoin will definitely rise. Even if Ordi is dead, there will be new ones. Now the new ones haven't come out yet, all you can do is hold on to Ordi and don't fall off the bus accidentally. Excluding 100 times, when Bitcoin is equivalent to 300u, why did you study the band of 250u-350u? If you get off the bus, you will have no chance to get on. Now Ordi has rushed to 15 at once, don't you wait for the callback and rush directly? If you wait for the callback, you will wait until 30? You are still waiting for the callback? It will be 80 the next day. For relatively certain opportunities, keep a bottom position. Don't operate blindly.
When Ordi's market value was 150w U, I recommended Ordi to a friend at 3 a.m. and talked on the phone for a full 3 hours, teaching him the entire operation process. I told him at the time that this might very likely become the main line of the bull market, so just buy some for fun. In the end, he refused, saying that the operation was complicated and people couldn't get in, so it was useless.
I told him that as long as the story is good, the ecosystem and tools will be matched slowly. A few days later, Uniswap was launched on the market, and a few days later, the wallet supported the display of BRC20 tokens. Later, more and more exchanges were launched. Today, Unisat is about to launch Ordinals native swap. Of course, Ordi may die, but I think it is unlikely. Secondly, if you can find a project like Ordi and divide your assets into 10 parts, and invest 1 part in each such project, I believe your total return will be very terrifying.
