Proton: Dear Proton Blockchain community members, we are very excited to announce that we will be implementing the Proton Blockchain Block Producer Code of Conduct and a new funding program designed to support the critical members of our network - block producers (BPs). The purpose of these programs is to strengthen our shared commitment to ethical behavior, professionalism, and transparency, and to provide financial support to BPs who contribute to the stability, security, and growth of the network.
The Proton Blockchain Block Producer Code of Conduct outlines the key guidelines and principles for BPs on the Proton Blockchain. These principles are centered around seven main principles:
1. Comply with the legal and regulatory framework
2. Network security and performance
3. Transparency and accountability
4. Participation and governance
5. Fair competition and prevention of collusion
6. Community support and education
7. Implementation and reporting
By abiding by this code, BPs will not only be recognized for their commitment to the health and growth of the network, but will also set a gold standard for behavior within our community. We believe that after three months of adhering to this code and strictly enforcing it, recognition should be achieved. Therefore, eligible BPs will be eligible for a one-time grant of 2 million XPR to cover operating expenses.
It is important to note that compliance with this code of conduct is mandatory. Failure to comply may result in an audit by the Proton Alliance and, in serious cases, removal from the Proton Blockchain network. We all have a shared responsibility to abide by these guidelines and ensure the continued growth and prosperity of the Proton Blockchain.
A PDF version of the BP Code of Conduct is attached below. We will use Proton Sign, which allows BPs to sign the Code of Conduct PDF directly on the Proton blockchain.
If you would like to sign the Code of Conduct, please use the form below and enter your BP’s name and email address so that the Proton Alliance can include them in the list of signatories:

In addition to the one-time grant, we are also introducing a Block Producer Additional Grant. This additional grant is designed to provide further financial support to active and contributing BPs to help them cover server and data center costs. It consists of up to 4 million XPR for three months or 50% of data center cost payment (whichever is lower).
The key points to qualify are:
1. Register and remain active as a top 30 block producer on the Proton blockchain.
2. Have a record of compliance with the Proton Blockchain Block Producer Code of Conduct for at least six months.
3. Have a record of contribution in the Proton blockchain ecosystem.
4. Demonstrated need for additional funding to maintain the high-quality infrastructure and stability of the Proton blockchain network.
Applying for these additional grants requires detailed documentation. Our proprietary consortium will review all applications based on eligibility, demonstrated need, and potential impact on network stability and performance.
Our goal with these programs is to foster a supportive environment that encourages the growth and development of our community and network. We understand the operational costs involved in running top-tier infrastructure and believe these grants will alleviate some of the financial pressures faced by BPs. By providing financial assistance, we aim to support the continued operation of high-quality infrastructure and maintain the stability and performance of the Proton blockchain network.
We look forward to seeing the positive impact these initiatives have on our network and community. Thank you for your commitment to the Proton blockchain and your contributions to its growth and prosperity.
