Doll's Beginner's Tutorial in Plain Language Series: What is $XAI and what is staking.
1. Summary in one sentence:
XAI is one of the projects focusing on games under Ethereum → Layer 2 (L2 Layer 2) Arbitrum → Layer 3 (L3 Layer 3), and $XAI is its token.
Ethereum is the underlying blockchain. You can think of Web3 as a city, Ethereum is one of the office buildings, Arbitrum is one of the layers, and Optimism, Zksync, etc., which belong to the L2 Layer, each occupy a layer. XAI is one of the gaming offices on the Arbitrum layer. Under XAI, there can be many games or projects serving games.
XAI is a bit similar to RONIN. RONIN is a game on the Ethereum sidechain.
In addition, the recently popular PIXEL is a game under RONIN, and BIGTIME is a game made by itself (being a father).
Knowing the position of XAI, investing in XIA will be worthwhile.
2. What is #Xai质押
Everyone knows that the easiest way to invest in XIA is to buy tokens, buy low and sell high, and sell high and buy low.
What is staking? You can think of it as a fixed deposit.
If you are optimistic about this token, you buy it, and it rises in the future, you will get the principal + increase;
If you are very optimistic about this token, you buy it, pledge it, and it rises in the future, you will get the principal + increase + interest.
As a novice,
For any project, you don’t need to pay attention to various concepts and nouns. You understand it as the project party drawing cakes.
The cake is done, it is called good news;
The cake is being made, it is called expected good news.
Why do you need to pledge?
As mentioned earlier, it is because you are optimistic about this project, and your expectation is: principal + increase + interest, which will make you feel very comfortable.
From the perspective of the project party, why do you need to provide pledges?
Because as a project owner, I have issued this token, so I must keep the distribution of chips healthy, for example: 15% is for myself (I have to make money); 15% is for VC (investors have to make money); 15% is for project construction (no money, no way to continue); 15% is for project operation (team salary, promotion, all cost money); and finally 40% is for the community (no users, what's the point).
I can basically control the first 60%, but what if you, the disloyal users in the community, take the chips and smash them hard? Then I will be ruined, or what if you scream and smash them hard because of one or two small negatives? Then I will be ruined too.
So, I can do linear unlocking when the token is issued.
Or you get it, hey, I let you pay it back, so that the chips are back in my hands.
This is staking.
Of course, you can't pay me the money obediently, and you are not a fool, so I need to give you some sweetness and expectations.
It is not a bad thing for the project party to be willing to do staking, but a good thing, because staking can make the chips healthier and more stable, and the project party will have a large number of users who will definitely choose to be loyal within a certain period of time and cannot sell.
As for what the project party will do with your pledged money, the project party will say, that is, expected good news.
So what exactly does XAI want to do with your money?
XAI's staking method is actually very innovative. As mentioned earlier, XAI is an office on the first floor of a building, which can have many projects. So XAI has created a staking pool, through which small project parties can create their own staking pools. The small project parties call for their own money. When the amount of the XAI pool you hold exceeds a certain standard, the pool will be upgraded, and the pledger, that is, your reward, will also be upgraded. What is tested here is your vision.
In addition, choosing different staking periods also determines that your final income will be different. The longer the time, the higher the reward. What is tested here is your confidence.
XAI hopes to screen and activate its small project parties in this way. On the one hand, it stimulates the active participation of project parties, and on the other hand, it ignites the enthusiasm of users. It is a win-win situation. I am very optimistic. But I don't make investment recommendations.
