When it comes to Scroll, everyone should know that it is ETH’s native zkEVM layer 2 solution. It has a luxurious investment lineup, a financing amount of US$90 million, and the latest round of valuation reached US$1.8 billion.

Penpad is the LauncPad platform on Scroll. The platform inherits the underlying technical advantages of Scroll and is based on zero-knowledge proof technology. It has launched a series of functions including account abstraction, flexible mining functions, and will achieve compliance with RWA in the future. Asset login Scroll ecological construction foundation. This platform is considered to be the only place for most projects and assets to log into the Scroll ecosystem, and it is also the source of Scroll’s ecological value orientation. Penpad, which is backed by the Scroll ecosystem with a valuation of over US$4 billion and is officially supported by Scroll, is currently attracting great attention from the market and has extremely high market expectations. Currently, PenPad is opening the LaunchPad of its first asset $PDD. The $PDD asset is PenPad’s functional token. Holding this asset can not only obtain a series of rights and interests, but also gain the opportunity to capture a series of benefits from the ecosystem. It is understood that $PDD’s LaunchPad activities are divided into three stages, namely Season 1, Season 2 and Season 3. In the ongoing Season 1 phase, users can learn about Penpad and explore the Scroll ecosystem by registering for exclusive Penpad accounts and following social media, and can earn potential points and future airdrop opportunities after TGE. Penpad has now announced the rules of Season 2 (start time March 25, 05:00 AM UTC). Users can earn points through a series of actions, and after the end of Season 2, they can obtain the subscription amount of $PDD assets based on the points.

Interpretation of the rules for Season 2

According to the rules, Penpad plans to distribute a total of 18% of tokens, or 18,000,000 $PDD, to early supporters, of which 6%, or 6,000,000 $PDD, will be distributed through Season 2.

The Season 2 allocation quota is based on points, and the higher the points ranking among participants, the lower their subscription price for $PDD (we will introduce the detailed allocation rules later), and the greater the amount of $PDD allocated. Therefore, participants need to try to accumulate more points during Season 2 to obtain a lower price subscription.

1. What behaviors can earn points?

In Season 2, ways to earn points include: staking ETH, inviting friends, and gathering a team.

  • ETH pledge

First of all, it needs to be explained that it is necessary to participate in ETH staking, which means that only by depositing ETH assets into the Season 2 LaunchPool (and registering a PenPad account) can you open the Allocation card, which is the qualification to participate in Season 2. The amount of pledged ETH needs to be at least 0.05 ETH. If the amount is less than 0.05 ETH, you will not be eligible to participate in Season 2. This is the key point! !

From the perspective of earning points, there are two factors for staking to earn points, one is the amount of pledged ETH, and the other is the timing of staking ETH into the pool.

Among them, users can activate the $PDD Launch Allocation Card by depositing no less than 0.05 ETH in the [Launch Pool link] designated by Penpad. At this time, they will receive 100 Points, and each subsequent pledge of 0.05 ETH will accumulate 20 Points. All accumulated points will be included in the ranking list. In other words, the more ETH you stake, the more points you get.

In addition to the pledge amount, you can also get bonus points by choosing the right pledge time. According to the rules, during the first 7 days of staking, which is starting from 05:00 AM UTC on March 25, to 5:00 AM UTC on April 1, extra points will be added for participating in ETH staking. Yes, if you participate in staking after this period, there will be no additional bonus.

The specific bonuses are:

For example, user A pledged 0.05 ETH on the first day and obtained 100 Points. Calculated through the growth for 7 consecutive days: 100 115% 113% 111% 109% 107% 105% * 103% = 181.94.

User B also pledged 0.05 ETH the next day, and his Points started to increase from 113% on the next day to 103% on the seventh day. The final Points are calculated through 6 consecutive days of growth: 100 113% 111% 109% 107% 105% 103% =158.21.

Therefore, staking for the first time on the first day of staking is the most cost-effective option. There will be no bonus on the eighth day of Season 2. So be sure to seize the opportunity to pledge. Another thing to note is that after the end of the pledge, the allocated amount will be directly deducted from the pledged ETH, and the remaining ETH will be available for collection after 7 days.

In addition to the amount of ETH pledged, you can also get bonus points by inviting friends and forming a team.

  • Invite friends and form teams

To be qualified to invite friends, you first need to pledge more than 0.5 ETH, and then you can invite other friends to form a team (of course, users who do not meet the 0.5 ETH pledge amount can also invite other users to register, but they cannot form a team and there are no rewards. And the relationship between the registration invitation in Season 1 and the team invitation in Season 2 is independent and unrelated).

The team's reward rules are that after user A pledges more than 0.5 ETH and invites B to register through his invitation code, B needs to successfully participate in a pledge of no less than 0.05 ETH to be counted as a valid team invitation. After a valid invitation, A will receive an additional 10% reward of B's newly generated points after establishing the invitation relationship.

For example, B initially established an invitation relationship with A by pledging 0.05 ETH under the invitation of A, and obtained 100 points. At this time, A will not receive additional rewards, and if B subsequently makes a new pledge or invites other people, , A will get an additional 10% reward of B’s points.

All first-level users invited by A will become team members of A, with A being the captain. Of course, to ensure the independence and impartiality of the team, a maximum of 1 team can be created or joined at the same address.

However, there are a few things to note:

1. If the invitee is already a team leader and is bound to register for an invitation relationship, he still needs to pledge through the team invitation to form a team relationship.

For example, if user B is the registered inviter of A, and B has not joined other teams, and A sends a team invitation to B, B still needs to complete a pledge of more than 0.05 ETH before A and B can be regarded as completing a team formation. After that, B will not be able to join other new teams.

2. If the two people do not have a registered invitation relationship, the user has already registered by himself, and can also form a team relationship through team invitation.

For example, B completes the registration on his own but does not join other teams. At this time, A can still invite B to join his team through the team invitation (B must pledge more than 0.05 ETH to join team A).

3. If the two people do not have a registered invitation relationship and the user has been invited to register by others, the user can still join the team and form a new team relationship (B must pledge more than 0.05 ETH to join team A).

For example, if B completes the registration through the registration invitation of other users, but does not join other teams, at this time, A can still let B join his team through the team invitation (B must pledge more than 0.05 ETH to join the A team). An account can only belong to one team. If you want to start a new team after joining a team, you need a new account.

4. If the two people do not have a registered invitation relationship and the user has not registered before, jump to the registration page and then bind the invitation and team relationship.

For example, if B has not registered yet, A can still invite B through the team. After B has jumped to the registration page, B will join his team after staking more than 0.05 ETH.

There are additional benefits of joining a team. As the total stake of the team increases, team members will have the opportunity to receive additional random Boosting Points. That is, every time the total stake of the team increases by 1 ETH, all team members will receive a lucky blind card lottery opportunity, and the number of Boosting Points drawn will be randomly determined. Therefore, the faster the team's users grow, the greater the overall amount of pledged ETH, and the higher the probability of random bonus points received by members.

Users can log in to the Penpad account center (https://penpad.io/account) to view the Lucky blind card. The first-time card opening function will be officially supported 7 days after the event is launched.

  • Points accumulation calculation in Season 1

Ended: For users who successfully complete the Quest tasks in Season 1, the points accumulated on the Quests platform will be converted into the Points system of the Penpad platform in equal amounts within 10 days after the end of Season 1. To ensure a smooth transfer, users need to complete the registration and verification of the Penpad platform before the end of the event. For users who missed Season 1, there is still an opportunity to earn Points by participating in the officially released Season 2 Quests. These Points will be credited to the Penpad platform in equal amounts after the end of Season 2. Please note that if the same wallet address participates in Quests activities repeatedly, Points will only be counted once.

2. $PDD allocation rule analysis

The distribution rules of Season 2 $PDD are based on points and will be distributed according to the points ranking. First, users need to determine which section they are ranked in and their actual number of points, in order to determine which price they will pay and how much $PDD they will allocate. An example is the following table:

In fact, this table is relatively easy to understand. At the end of Season 2, the system will rank the list according to the number of points the user holds. The range in which users are allocated depends on the percentage position of their points among all points when their ranking is finalized. .

So let's illustrate with an example.

For example, the total points of all users in the system are 10,000 points, and the holders of the first 667 points are respectively user A on the first list with 267 points, user B on the second list with 250 points, and user C on the third list with 150 points. Then these three people will 400,000 $PDD will be distributed at a price of 0.0000067 ETH in a point-weighted manner.

A’s subscription amount = (267 / 670) * 3 =1.195 ETH

B’s subscription amount = (250 / 670) * 3=1.119 ETH

C’s subscription amount = (150 / 670) * 3=0.672 ETH

If under the same conditions as above, the points of C in the third list are 200 points, 150 points are in the first range, and 50 points are in the second range, then the calculation of the subscription amount of user C will be divided into two stages. The first 150 points are allocated as above, while the next 50 points are allocated in the same weighted manner in the second point interval.

In fact, we see that in this allocation method, more PDD quotas are allocated in the middle range and less at the beginning and end. This is expected to encourage more users to participate and make the overall allocation model more fair.

From the above table, it is not difficult to find that PenPad’s fundraising target is 401 ETH. When all users are fully pledged or over pledged, the distribution method will be carried out according to the above method. When the amount of ETH pledged is less than 401, the fundraising price in each range will remain unchanged, but the overall fundraising will be reduced by the same proportion.

Of course, you may encounter the following situations:

1. For users who have not fully subscribed, their allocated quota will be transferred to the next user in order of Points ranking.

For example, user A is allocated a quota of 1 ETH, but his pledged ETH is only 0.8 ETH. Then the remaining 0.2 ETH that should be allocated to user A will be postponed to the next user ranked behind him.

2. If two users have the same points, their ranking will also take into account other factors, including pledge volume and invitation rebates.

For example, A and B both have 200 points:

If both of them have the same pledge amount and are not invited to receive commission rebates. The users will be sorted according to the time when they reached the pledge amount, with those who pledged earlier being ranked first. If the user deposits multiple deposits to reach the same pledge amount, the time of the last pledge to achieve the pledge amount will prevail.

If the pledge amounts are different but both invite commissions, the one with the larger pledge amount will be ranked first.

If users have the same pledge amount and both have received Points rebates by inviting users, the ranking will be determined based on the total pledge amount of the invited users. Inviters with a higher total team stake will be ranked first.

Season 2 will start at 05:00 AM UTC on March 25th, please stay tuned for official updates from PenPad.
