Standard Chartered Bank expects that the price of Bitcoin will reach the level of $150,000 during the current year (2024), compared to its previous expectations at the end of last year that Bitcoin would reach only $100,000. The bank gave an optimistic forecast for Bitcoin over the next year if strong Bitcoin cash flows coming from exchange-traded funds continue.
Regarding the future, the bank's economists expect that the price of Bitcoin will rise above $200,000 in 2025. Experts noted that Bitcoin has faced steeper price gains than expected during the current year, and that the Bitcoin halving event may positively affect its price.
Regarding 2024, Standard Chartered economists consider it the year of Bitcoin, as Bitcoin recorded an all-time high this year at $73,000. The bank's analysts indicated that the year 2025 may witness Bitcoin reaching at least $250,000 over the course of the year.
It is noteworthy that the CEO of the Binance digital platform, Richard Ting, also expected that Bitcoin would break through the $80,000 level in the future, due to the increasing institutional interest in exchange-traded funds backed by cryptocurrencies and the increase in investments in them.
