BRICS countries already conduct 85% of their settlements in national currencies and are now discussing the issue of settlements in digital units, said the president of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), chairman of the Russian part of the BRICS Business Council Sergey Katyrin to RIA Novosti.

"We have a digital ruble, the Chinese have a digital yuan," noted the head of the CCI of Russia.

According to him, at the last meeting, representatives from India and Brazil also mentioned that they are finishing work on their digital units. The most important thing is to not depend on any third countries or anyone at all in our settlements, concluded Katyrin.
