Recently, following Risc Zero's Boundless has become increasingly captivating—it's not just hype around ZK narratives, this project genuinely addresses industry pain points!
ZK has been popular for quite a while, but most are still stuck in laboratories; there are very few that can handle complex computations and truly run them. However, Boundless has successfully implemented a "decentralized ZK computing market": developers can submit proving requests without needing to build circuits or write provers themselves, miners can bid for contracts, and the results can be verified on-chain; miners have it easier, as they can mine by connecting their GPUs to PoVW, and the data from the August testnet has been impressive—average response times have significantly decreased, and there have even been zero-price locked orders and a proving record of 5.63MHz, with visible production feasibility on the rise👀
What strikes me the most is that it does not compete with zkL1, but instead creates a "ZK universal computing layer that serves all chains"—like giving each old chain a M-series chip without altering the architecture, enabling trusted computation and computing power outsourcing; this positioning is incredibly smart!
Now, Boundless is already the leading player in the zkVM track: top-tier institutions like Blockchain Capital and Bain Capital are endorsing it, while frontline miners like Bitmain, Bitfufu, and 6block are also eager to get involved, creating a truly comprehensive ecosystem.
To be honest, if ZK is the only entry point for the fusion of AI and Web3, then Boundless is the underlying infrastructure of this path. The mainnet is already live, and I look forward to Boundless becoming the most valuable bullet in ZK narratives🚀
