The first Bitcoin ETF has been launched on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
Investors gained access to Bitcoin through futures on CME.
The market maker is Dom Maklerski BOŚ.
Trading of the Bitcoin BETA ETF has started on the Warsaw Stock Exchange (GPW), providing investors access to the first cryptocurrency.
The press release states that the ETF uses currency hedging, which reduces the impact of fluctuations in the exchange rate of the US dollar to the Polish zloty on returns.
The Polish Financial Supervision Authority approved the fund's prospectus on June 17, 2025. The creation of the ETF was initiated by AgioFunds TFI, and liquidity in the market is provided by Dom Maklerski Banku Ochrony Środowiska S.A. (BOŚ). It was added in msn that access to Bitcoin is provided through futures traded on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME).
Member of the Board of the Warsaw Stock Exchange Michał Kobza stated:
"GPW meets the expectations of investors and follows the trend of diversifying asset classes available on the public market. No less importantly, the offer of access to Bitcoin through an ETF on GPW enhances trading security, as investors can participate in the cryptocurrency market using an instrument that is supervised and subject to transparency standards applicable to regulated capital markets."
Moreover, the statement indicates that 16 ETFs are currently traded on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, including those that cover Polish indices. The turnover of ETFs on the GPW this year reached 1.9 billion zlotys, representing a growth of 94.2% year-on-year.
