Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ) has warned the crypto community about North Korean hackers, calling them “advanced, creative, and patient.”
Their tactics include:
Pretending to be job candidates for dev, finance, or security roles.
Acting as fake employers, sending malware links during “interviews.”
Posing as users with issues and tricking support teams into opening infected links.
Bribing employees or vendors to leak sensitive data — one such attack cost a U.S. exchange over $400M.
CZ’s advice:
“Train your staff, don’t download random files, and carefully screen new hires.”
