Eric Trump: Bitcoin could eliminate the wealth gap, but what is the reality?

At the Bitcoin Asia conference in Hong Kong, #EricTrump – the son of U.S. President Donald Trump – asserted that Bitcoin is the first time in financial history that provides a playing field with "no disparity between social classes."

He argued that the traditional financial system has always favored the rich, as they can easily negotiate interest rates or bypass bank fees, while the majority of the population does not benefit. In contrast, Bitcoin is "devoid" of privileges, giving a person in Africa an equal opportunity with a Wall Street executive.

However, Eric Trump's own speech highlighted the role of national funds, Fortune 500 companies, and the government in accumulating $BTC – exposing the paradox between the ideal of equality and the reality concentrated in the hands of the elite.

Expert Conrad Young commented: #bitcoin indeed reduces the "privileged tools" for the wealthy compared to traditional finance, but currently, most profits come from institutional money and large investors, not community strength.

According to Ali Sammour, blockchain and crypto have the potential to open up new financial freedom, especially for developing economies. But the major barrier remains internet infrastructure and accessibility, making the dream of "eliminating the wealth gap" still far off. #anhbacong
