The recent price movement of Ethereum after breaking through its historical high has already given a very clear signal.
After hitting a new high, there was a volume-triggered pullback, followed closely by a rebound—this is clearly the market undergoing a handover. It is normal for previously trapped chips and some profit-taking positions to choose to take profits and exit at this level.
The key point is: if there isn't enough buying support at this level, the price simply cannot hold. Since it can stabilize in this range, it indicates that even at the current high, there are still funds willing to step in and buy. As for whether it’s retail investors, big players, or institutions buying, it actually doesn’t matter; having buying pressure is the hard truth.
Personally, I believe that if ETH can maintain a fluctuation around 4800 for a period of time, it would actually be a good thing. The more thorough the consolidation, the greater the potential space afterward. Of course, this is just my personal opinion; how the market moves ultimately depends on the facts.
I also transferred some coins to the exchange through the Arbitrum chain, with a cost of less than 5000U. Although the profit displayed is not much, I have been insisting on dollar-cost averaging and staking. I must say that the fundamentals of this bull market are completely different from the last round: the last round relied more on narratives and dreams, with the network being congested and expensive; this round not only has institutions investing real money, but also offers a smooth experience and lower costs brought by Layer 2, along with the improvement of practical application scenarios such as staking and lending—the ecological support is no longer on the same level.
