Brazilian woman is kidnapped and released after payment of R$ 3.3 million in Bitcoin
Criminals monitored the victim's social media, a cryptocurrency manager, and then kidnapped his mother.
PC arrested four suspects, including two women. The Civil Police arrested four suspects on Wednesday (13) for kidnapping a retired teacher in Recife. The gang allegedly received 5 bitcoins, then valued at R$ 3.3 million, to release the victim. The kidnapping occurred in March of this year, resulting in months of investigation until the quartet's arrest. The information was presented by g1, which followed the Police press conference.
