Both Web2 and Web3 offer different pathways to enhance consumer welfare. It is likely that both will continue, provided that neither one cancels the other out thanks to anti-competitive strategies. And because Web3 projects lack the ability to control and dominate, anti-competitive practices will come from Web2 companies against them, not the other way around. Antitrust bodies, regulators, and policymakers must ensure the protection of Web3 from giant Web2 companies
