For a very long time I wanted to make a post about this project, but understanding all the intricacies, details and the technology itself was very problematic, because there is really a lot of information, but today I want to share with you a project for which I will be contributing in the near future, along with other projects that I am in love with, you know very well what projects we are talking about.
🧠 0LNetwork - new L1 blockchain. Wow, another new blockchain? Yes. 0L is about openness to developers, community-driven and permissionless, not requiring permissions, you understand, right? The tagline is, guys, if you're looking for a community-driven blockchain with a meaningful commitment to social impact and democratic decision-making, that does things differently, with priorities that reflect your values, then 0L is for you, come help us realize the transformative power of decentralized architecture. In general, on their website in the Technology tab you can study everything in detail if you wish. In general, the points these guys touch on are already extremely fashionable today and attractive to investors, but the situation with this is interesting, more details below.
Blockchain also Sui, Aptos and others are written in the Move language, but the project itself has a fundamentally different philosophy. 0L holds a special place among all Move-based blockchains because it is a community-driven project. The website doesn't even list the team. The project does not have a fund or venture sponsors. Rather, it relies on decentralized governance and the contributions of many different coders (including some former Meta engineers) who work, in good faith, in a classic startup way. The project itself was announced by some guy who is completely anonymous with the nickname 0tt0 (@0x0tt0x0).
I don’t know about you, but I think this is an incredibly interesting and unique approach that can work, because among the creators, if you try, you can find one big player, his name is Zaki Manian - co-founder of Sommelier Finance and Iqlusion, former director of Tendermint Labs and one of the key contributors to the Cosmos project, and I respect Cosmos. And yes, in February 2022, Mysten Labs (Sui) announced a partnership with 0L to jointly host Move hackathons and mentorship programs to teach suckers in technology. 🥶

Activities? There are a huge number of them in the project and I myself didn’t fully understand them, there is a node, a community program, an ambassador in plans, a lot of chances to prove yourself and contribute to the project.
