European leaders urge Trump to call for a ceasefire in meeting with Putin

According to Politico, European leaders have urged U.S. President Donald Trump to encourage Russian President Vladimir Putin to agree to a ceasefire and meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during their anticipated meeting on Friday. French President Emmanuel Macron confirmed to reporters, after discussions with Trump and other European leaders, that any decisions regarding territorial concessions should be made by Ukraine. Macron stated, "Trump has clearly expressed that the United States aims to achieve a ceasefire at the meeting in Alaska, and currently, there are no serious plans for land exchanges on the table."
