Was there any strategy and analysis when opening the position or did you enter randomly?

Once, I decided to try my hand at futures trading.
5000 $ in the account, leverage 40 - 50x and a desire to rise quickly.
At first, everything went perfectly - the balance grew to $6600, I felt like the king of the market. Confidence grew with each deal… until the market showed that it was stronger.
Unusual jumps, unnecessary haste, premature fixes, and suddenly a completely depleted deposit.

Back then, I experienced it easily - the money came easily, and went just as easily.

But now everything is different. With the start of the war, every dollar is worth its weight in gold.
Now I am on a different path: step by step, without unnecessary risk, only forward.
Slowly. Confidently. Profitably.
