**Future Trading: Halal or Haram? Understand the Reality**

Today I will explain in simple words where Future Trading is permissible and where it is not in Shariah.

1- **First Point from Hadith**

Hazrat Hakim bin Hizamؓ asked the Prophet ﷺ: Can I sell something that I do not have?

The Prophet ﷺ said: "Do not sell what you do not have" (Sunan Abi Dawud 3503)

In that time, there were no digital items, but today in Future Trading, you do not have the physical coin, but you have a contract. This is exactly like Dropshipping, where you do not have the item but there is an agreement.

2- **Leverage and Loan**

The Quran (Al-Baqarah 282) states that if a loan is taken, an agreement is necessary.

Leverage

If you borrow money from a broker and there is no interest on it, then it is not Haram. Interest is when additional money is necessarily taken on a loan.
