No one knows who he is.
But he changed the world using Bitcoin.
Then he disappeared - without a trace.
Who is Satoshi Nakamoto?
And hereโs what we know: ๐งต
1/ It started with a PDF file.
On October 31, 2008, a person named Satoshi Nakamoto published a research paper on a cryptography mailing list.
The address?
"Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System"
The book was 9 pages long and redefined the future of money.
2 / Just two months later, on January 3, 2009, the Bitcoin network went live.
Block 0 was mined.
Inside it, Satoshi included a hidden message:
The Times, January 3, 2009: Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks
Bitcoin wasnโt just a technology, it was a warning.
3 / Over the next two years, Satoshi built the foundation of Bitcoin:
โขThe first client was programmed
โขThe first full node was launched
โขHelped others in my work
โขSent the first BTC to developer Hal Finney
โขRegularly published in forums and emails
Then suddenly he left.
4/ In 2010, he handed the project over to others.
By April 2011, he was gone. The last known message:
"I have moved on to other things."
No farewell. No cash withdrawal. No media tour.
Just silence.
5 / Let's talk about the numbers.
It is estimated that Satoshi mined about 1,000,000 BTC.
At current prices, this amount is worth over $118 billion.
He hasn't touched a single coin.
Not a single Satoshi moved.
Not for 15 years.
6 / But the big question remains:
Was Satoshi a single person? Or a team?
Some signs say one:
โขWriting style is consistent
โขOne developer account
โขLong and deep emails
And others suggest more:
โขActivity across multiple time zones
โขFast programming + clean English
