Everything began with a message that seemed normal, received by the investor through one of the platforms, showing a link that appeared official at first glance. Due to the cunningly deceptive similarity, the victim clicked on it without realizing that the link was a meticulously crafted trap.
According to what was revealed by Lookonchain, a company specialized in analyzing blockchain transactions, the transaction that transferred 3.05 million dollars in USDT from the victim's wallet to the attacker's address was recorded, with no alerts or objections issued.
The painful surprise? This amount constituted almost the entire balance of the wallet, meaning that the financial setback was comprehensive.
