$

Treehouse is a decentralized protocol designed to bring fixed income products to cryptocurrencies through two main elements:

1-tAssets: Yield-generating tokens, such as tETH, that use smart arbitrage strategies to help align interest rates across decentralized finance (DeFi) and generate stable returns.

2-Decentralized Interest Rate (DOR): On-chain copies of traditional benchmark interest rates. These copies are created through a consensus process and form the basis for new fixed income products.

Tree Token

The TREE token is the native utility token of the Treehouse protocol. It is used for various purposes, including:

Paying for DOR data: When using smart contracts or companies for DOR benchmark data from Treehouse, they pay a nominal query fee (TREE). This contributes to generating revenue for the protocol and ensures fair use of its data infrastructure.

Participation by committee members: To maintain the integrity of DOR rates, committee members (entities that submit rate data) are required to participate with TREE tokens or tAssets. This ensures their involvement in the process and incentivizes them to provide accurate data.

Earning rewards: After each data submission round (or "observation period"), TREE tokens are distributed as rewards to both participants and delegates based on the accuracy of the submitted rates.
