The United States will announce at the end of the week what additional measures will be taken against India in addition to the import duties for trade with Russia. This was stated during a conversation with journalists by US President Donald Trump, TASS reports.

When asked to clarify what additional restrictive measures Washington might take against India, Trump mentioned the trade deficit in the relations between the two countries and noted that India has 'some of the highest [import] duties in the world'.

'They are ready to significantly reduce them, but let's see what happens. We are negotiating with India, we will see where that leads. It is not so important whether we will reach a deal or impose certain duties on them, you will find out about this at the end of the week,' said the US president.
