We’ve just unlocked a brand new property of hemp!

Not only have we successfully softened the fiber, but we’ve now made it more hydrophobic. Yes, water-repellent hemp is becoming a reality!

By attaching specific molecules to the hemp fibers, we’ve increased their hydrophobicity, and the lab data backs it up.

💧 One of the biggest drawbacks of hemp clothing has always been that it soaks up and retains water. Lab testing of our enhanced hemp shows that upgraded fibers can now repel water and resist absorption, opening the door to better performance clothing.

Why does this matter?

It means @hempydotscience could now be used in outdoor wear, extreme sports gear, and technical apparel where water resistance is key.
