🏦 The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has announced the start of a series of roundtables with the crypto industry. The initiative is led by SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce.

It is known that the first event will take place on August 4 in Berkeley, California. The working group will visit 10 US cities to hear from project founders who were unable to participate in the spring consultations in Washington.

🗣️ “We are hearing from those who were unable to attend the roundtables that formed in Washington this spring and did not have a voice in previous policy efforts. The Cryptocurrency Working Group is keenly aware that any regulatory structure will have far-reaching implications, and we want to ensure that our work is as inclusive as possible,” Peirce said.

👥 The statement said that the working group is especially interested in talking to private crypto projects that employ 10 or fewer people and were founded less than two years ago.
