#ProjectCrypto Yesterday, Thursday, the Chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Paul S. Atkins, announced the launch of the "Crypto Project," a new initiative aimed at reshaping the U.S. approach to regulating digital assets.

In a speech delivered in Washington, Atkins clarified that the regulatory agency will collaborate with the crypto task force, led by Commissioner Hester Peirce, to implement the recommendations of the Presidential Working Group on Financial Markets.

The project aims to achieve regulatory clarity, encourage innovation, and attract crypto companies that have left the United States under previous policies. In this regard, Atkins stated: "I have directed the agency staff to establish a regulatory framework that allows the trading of digital assets that are not classified as securities alongside digital assets classified as securities on platforms regulated by the agency.
