🇺🇸⚡ Trump Claps Back at Medvedev Amid Escalating U.S.–Russia Tensions 🇷🇺
In a bold and fiery post on his Truth Social account, former U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a direct warning to Dmitry Medvedev, Russia’s ex-president and current deputy head of its Security Council.
Calling Medvedev a “failed ex-president who still thinks he runs Russia,” Trump told him to “watch his words.” This comes after Medvedev criticized Trump’s new proposal to slap punishing tariffs on Russian oil and its buyers, warning such moves could ignite a serious conflict.
In response, Medvedev invoked the ‘Dead Hand’ — an old Soviet nuclear retaliation system designed to launch nukes automatically if Russian command is ever wiped out. The warning sent shockwaves across global media, sparking fears of Cold War-style brinkmanship.
Trump, unfazed, also took a shot at India’s partnership with Moscow, saying:
> “They can take their dead economies down together — we do almost no business with either.”
As if tensions weren’t high enough, Trump has now issued a 10-day ultimatum to Russia: agree to a Ukraine ceasefire or face heavy tariffs. July already saw the two leaders trade barbs over nuclear posturing — now the rhetoric has gone nuclear again.
🧨 Markets are watching. Global tensions are climbing. Is this political drama — or the early signs of something far more serious?
