$BTC Bitcoin rose 0.4% to $118,503.1 at 07:03 (05:30). The largest cryptocurrency in the world has largely remained within a range below $120,000 after reaching all-time highs in early July.
Bitcoin received little support from the announcement by its largest holder Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy Incorporated (NASDAQ:MSTR)) regarding the purchase of more than 21,000 coins this week.
