$BNB BNB (formerly Binance Coin) is the native cryptocurrency of the Binance ecosystem, one of the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges. Launched in 2017, BNB was initially created as a utility token for discounted trading fees on Binance. Over time, its use has expanded to include paying transaction fees on the Binance Smart Chain (BSC), participating in token sales, and making purchases online or in apps.

BNB runs on its own blockchain, BNB Chain (which includes both the BNB Beacon Chain and BNB Smart Chain). It also has a limited supply, with regular burns to reduce circulation and increase value.
