How can the BOB developer be prevented from accessing liquidity?
Is the BOB developer cheating?
To prevent a token developer from accessing liquidity in the LP (liquidity pool), there are several technical methods commonly used in the DeFi world to ensure that the liquidity is truly locked and cannot be withdrawn arbitrarily. Here are the main methods:
1. Lock Liquidity in a Locker Platform
Unicrypt, Team.Finance, PinkLock
This is the most common method.
How does it work?
After adding liquidity to a DEX (such as PancakeSwap), the developer sends the LP tokens to a locker smart contract such as Unicrypt, Team.Finance, or PinkLock.
Advantages:
* The developer cannot withdraw the liquidity before the unlock time.
* There is public proof that the LP tokens are locked.
* Investors can verify this directly via BscScan or through the locker service.
2. Burn LP Tokens This is the most extreme method and irreversible very few developers are willing to do this, and BOB is one of them.
How does it work?
After providing liquidity to the DEX, the developer sends the LP tokens to the `0x000...dead` address (known as the dead/burn address).
Key characteristics of LP Burn:
* Liquidity is permanently locked and can never be withdrawn.
* No need for a third-party locker.
* Investors can see clear evidence on BscScan that the LP tokens have been burned.
* However, it prevents any future upgrade or migration of the liquidity this is what makes BOB one of the most decentralized tokens on the BNB Chain.
3. Ensure the Contract Ownership is Renounced
Someone @Gelektro once said that the BOB developer could still access liquidity but that is purely an assumption based on speculation.
Technically speaking, in Solidity smart contract programming, once LP tokens are burned, it is impossible for the developer to regain access.
So this claim that the BOB developer can still access LP is proven false by on-chain evidence.
BOB has burned LP token, renounced contract ownership, and shown full transparency. Based on these facts.
