🚨 U.S. TikTok Influencer Busted in Major North Korea Cyber Plot
This is unreal: A TikTok influencer from Arizona, Christina Marie Chapman, just got 102 months in prison for helping North Korean IT agents secretly work for over 300 U.S. companies — including some in crypto.
🖥️ What She Did
Chapman ran a secret "laptop farm" from her house. These devices, tied to stolen American identities, were remotely controlled by North Korean agents posing as U.S.-based workers. Some laptops were even shipped near the China–North Korea border.
💸 The Damage
She funneled over $17M to the DPRK through fake jobs, wire fraud, and crypto-related money laundering.
More than 309 companies — including government agencies and top tech firms — were deceived.
📛 Big Cybersecurity Risk
North Korean agents got inside critical systems using her network. This is now one of the largest infiltration operations ever linked to DPRK cyber units.
💥 Crypto Still in Danger
In 2024 alone, DPRK hackers stole $1.3B+ in crypto. Their top weapon? Fake resumes + stolen IDs. And yes, remote-friendly crypto companies are prime targets.

🔐 Time to Stay Alert
If you’re hiring, verify identities. If you’re investing, secure your assets.
This goes deeper than scams — this is cyber warfare.
