Ripple and its CEO, Brad Garlinghouse, warned about deepfake videos simulating false XRP giveaways, mimicking their voice or image to deceive investors. (“Ripple never asks for XRP to participate”)
The videos appear on fake YouTube accounts of Ripple or executives, which then direct users to fraudulent sites to send their tokens.
