Hayes highlighted the growing institutional attention on Ethereum and stated that the ecosystem of the second most valuable digital asset in the market is poised for significant expansion.
“The next ETH rally is about to smash the market,” Hayes wrote sarcastically, referring to the renewed interest that ETH awakens after having been, in his opinion, “the most hated large-cap cryptocurrency.”
He added that institutional appetite is being led by figures like Thomas Lee, current director of Bitmine Immersion, and that investors are “now buying first and asking later,” driven by the narrative around the potential of the Ethereum ecosystem.
Hayes indicated that Maelstrom, his investment fund, is betting on everything related to Ethereum, from decentralized finance (DeFi) to low-cap tokens built on the ERC-20 standard. And while he clarified that his comments do not constitute financial advice, he made it clear that his market outlook is highly favorable for ETH.

These estimates are not isolated. Other analysts in the sector share Hayes' optimism. Eric Jackson, from EMJ Capital, recently pointed out that Ethereum has real chances of reaching 10,000 dollars, especially if the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) approves ether ETFs that include staking participation. For him, the combination of technical and regulatory factors could trigger a new bullish phase in the ether market, as reported by CriptoNoticias.
The enthusiasm is also reflected in more ambitious projections, such as that of Gert van Lagen. This analyst estimates that ETH could reach 18,000 dollars in the current cycle, based on technical patterns of Elliott waves. He explained that the current market behavior is consistent with previous accumulation phases that, in past cycles, preceded significant price surges.
The rise of Ethereum is framed in a context of growing institutional adoption. On Tuesday, July 22, ether ETFs traded in the United States recorded net inflows of 533 million dollars, the third largest in the history of these financial products, as reported by this medium.
This positive flow consolidated 13 consecutive days of inflows, accumulating a total of 4 billion dollars in less than two weeks.
