🌕 The company Tether announced that there are approximately 250,000 Tether Gold (XAU₮) tokens in circulation, each backed by one troy ounce of physical gold — totaling more than 7.66 tons.
The tokens can be exchanged for real gold bars stored in vaults in Switzerland.
Previously, Tether introduced a new version of the token — XAUt0, an omnichain evolution of Tether Gold. The first network to support XAUt0 is TON.
