According to a report from CoinWorld, Freename, a blockchain domain registrar headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland, announced the completion of a $6.5 million Series A funding round, led by Entrée Capital, with participation from Polymorphic Capital, Sparkle Ventures, Blockchain Founders Fund, and Golden Record Ventures, as well as former Coinbase Custody CEO Aaron Schnarch, Target Global co-founder Mike Lobanov, and the Rashwan family office. The new funding is intended to support its unified Web2 and Web3 digital identity ecosystem across chains such as Polygon, Solana, Base, and BNB Chain, and to enable traditional IP addresses and wallet addresses in a regulated manner.
