4. Popular Chinese concept stocks generally rose, with the Nasdaq China Golden Dragon Index closing up 1.7%, NIO rising over 10%, Baidu rising over 4%, Xpeng Motors and Pinduoduo rising over 3%, JD.com and Li Auto rising over 1%.

5. The meme stock craze spread, with Kohl's soaring over 37%, and Opendoor Technologies plummeting 10%.
