In a statement from his family, it said: "With a sadness that words cannot express, we are devastated to announce that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love."
Performing on the stage at Villa Park less than three weeks ago, Osbourne told fans: You have no idea how I feel - thank you from the bottom of my heart.
This was a concert organized in honor of the farewell to the 76-year-old musician, featuring some of his favorite bands, including Metallica and Guns'n'Roses.
As is known, Osbourne was a pioneer of heavy metal as part of Black Sabbath before achieving huge success as a solo artist. He was known for hits such as Iron Man, Paranoid, War Pigs, Crazy Train, and Changes, both with the band and solo. The singer also gained popularity thanks to the MTV reality show The Osbournes, which aired the rather chaotic life of the star in Los Angeles, who grew up in Birmingham, with his wife Sharon and two children, Kelly and Jack.
Osbourne had Parkinson's disease and in recent years also faced other health issues, including complications from injuries sustained in a fall in 2019.
Throughout his career, Osbourne was inducted into the UK Music Hall of Fame and the US Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice - as part of Black Sabbath and as a solo artist.
He also has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, as well as a star on Broad Street in Birmingham, an Ivor Novello award, and five Grammy Awards from 12 nominations. Additionally, over the years he has received other accolades, such as the Divine Genius Award from NME and the Living Legend Award from Classic Rock.
Osbourne is survived by his wife Sharon and children Amy, Kelly, and Jack, as well as two older children Jessica and Louis from his first marriage to Thelma Riley and grandchildren.
In the last years of his life, Ozzy traveled a lot and filmed travel documentaries.
