The U.S. National Intelligence Agency has published 230,000 secret documents related to the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. in 1968.
They contain details of the FBI investigation, discussions of possible leads, and internal memoranda regarding the progress of the case.
The files also declassify information about a former cellmate of James Earl Ray, who claimed to have discussed a supposed conspiracy to commit the murder with Ray.
The death of Luther King gave rise to numerous conspiracy theories, suggesting that several people may have been involved in the assassination.
