Why Bitcoin Price Dropped and Why It’s Getting Slowed Down? $BTC $ETH Bitcoin’s recent slowdown is tied to the U.S. Treasury’s stance on its strategic Bitcoin reserve. Created by President Donald Trump through a March executive order, the reserve currently consists of Bitcoin seized by law enforcement. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent clarified that the government won’t be buying Bitcoin directly from the market to expand this reserve. Instead, he explained it will only grow through future confiscations. “We’re going to stop selling that,” Bessent said, adding that the current holdings are valued at around $15–$20 billion. While this decision prevents selling pressure, it also means there won’t be fresh government demand pushing prices higher. That’s why Bitcoin’s rally has slowed. But for investors, hesitation could be costly. As reserves increase and supply tightens, Bitcoin could rise again—just more gradually.
