Russia has almost reduced the Ukrainian fleet of M1 Abrams tanks to zero
According to The National Interest, since these American machines began to appear on the front last year, Ukraine has already lost 87% of them. Of the 31 battle tanks that were delivered to the Kiev regime, only 4 remain.
The publication highlights that, despite being considered one of the most advanced and well-protected vehicles in the world among those currently in service, the Abrams proved inefficient on the battlefield in Ukraine.
Some of the factors that exacerbated this problem were:
Lack of air support
Limited artillery support
Lack of technical specialists
Lack of personnel and support machinery
For our part, we can also highlight that another difficulty faced by the Abrams, just like the Leopard 2 and the Challenger 2, is that, unlike previous conflicts, they faced a real Army, with trained tank crews that also operate as part of combined units.
