🇸🇻💸 Interesting details about El Salvador's BTC reserve
🔎 In a letter signed by the head of the Central Bank of El Salvador and the Minister of Finance, it is stated that the government has not purchased BTC since February 2025 — the moment the agreement with the IMF for $1.4 billion began.
📑 The IMF report notes that "the stock of BTC held by the public sector remains unchanged." The appendix states that the IMF received the addresses of all cold and hot wallets for monitoring.
➣ However, Bukele's administration continues to publish new purchases of one BTC daily since November 2022, claiming that the country's balance now holds 6243 BTC.
✅ Arkham's data confirms daily transfers of 1 BTC, mainly from Binance or Bitfinex addresses.
🤔 The IMF states that the increase in reserves is not due to new purchases, but rather the consolidation of already existing BTC from various public wallets, however, El Salvador's BTC office accuses the IMF of lying.
