Ethereum Developers Change Plans for Fusaka Upgrade and Talk About Glamsterdam Update
According to PANews, in the 216th Ethereum developers meeting, the team decided to remove EIP 7907 from the upcoming Fusaka upgrade. This means that the limit on smart contract size will stay the same for now. They might think about adding this change later in the Glamsterdam upgrade, but it’s not confirmed yet.
Tim Beiko shared a possible timeline for when Fusaka will go live:
A public test version will come out around August 25.
The first test upgrade will happen between September 22 and October 3.
The second test upgrade is planned for October 6 to 10.
Also, a developer version called Fusaka Devnet-3 will start on July 23.
For the Glamsterdam upgrade, developers mostly agree on the main changes, but they are still discussing some important details like:
A system called proposer-builder separation (PBS)
Block-level access lists
Developers plan to finalize the code changes for Glamsterdam in the next 2 to 4 weeks, after hearing more feedback from the Ethereum community.
