Nasdaq has filed a request with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on behalf of BlackRock to add staking features to their investment fund called iShares Ethereum ETF. This information was announced as the price of ETH surged by 20%, now reaching US$3,600. This allows Ethereum (ETH) holders to 'lock' their tokens and earn rewards as a form of appreciation from the Ethereum network. Therefore, investors who purchase this ETF will not only gain exposure to the price of Ethereum but can also earn additional income from staking rewards.
