U.S. Congress May Accuse Powell of Perjury Over Federal Reserve Renovation
According to Odaily, the Director of the U.S. Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) has indicated that reliable congressional sources suggest one or more members of Congress may accuse Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell of perjury. The allegations are related to the $2.5 billion renovation of the Federal Reserve building. The matter is expected to be referred to the Department of Justice for further investigation.
