BNB Chain will upgrade its infrastructure in the second half of 2025, aiming to process 5,000 swaps per second on DEXs and potentially reach 20,000 transactions per second by 2026.
They will increase the gas limit to 1 billion and use a new Rust-based client to improve performance and execute smart contracts faster, currently BNB Chain has more than 12 million transactions per day.
