The U.S. House voted with a majority of 215 votes to 211 votes to move forward and later vote on the National Innovation Framework for U.S. Stablecoins bill (also known as the GENIUS Act) 💡, which would create a regulatory framework for stablecoins and may be scheduled to head to President Donald Trump's desk before the end of the week. 🗳️✍️
Lawmakers also voted to move forward on the "Digital Asset Market Clarity" Act, known as "Clarity" 🔍, which adopts a comprehensive approach to cryptocurrencies and establishes a clear regulatory framework for them, in part by defining the regulatory mechanism for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. 📊📜
They also approved to later vote on a bill that prevents the Federal Reserve from issuing a central bank digital currency directly to individuals. 🚫🏦
