According to Odaily, Erika Williams, the Chair of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB), has resigned following a request from U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Chair Paul Atkins. In an email to PCAOB staff, Williams announced that her last day would be July 22. Williams began her tenure as PCAOB Chair in January 2022 and was reappointed in June 2024.
