As the House of Representatives approaches the vote on the GENIUS Act (Guidance and Establishment of the National Innovation for American Stablecoins Act), Donald Trump has declared his full support for the bill. According to a post on Truth Social shared on X, Trump reveals that the GENIUS Act will expand the United States' leadership in digital assets if approved.
In particular, the U.S. president notes that the bill will significantly distance the United States from other countries vying for supremacy. Trump mentions Europe and China while urging all Republican members of the House of Representatives to vote in favor of the GENIUS Act.
The GENIUS Act adds to a series of bills that the House of Representatives is considering on the occasion of the start of Cryptocurrency Week. A month after its approval in the Senate, Trump is pushing for it to be quickly passed in the House without amendments.
“The GENIUS Act will put our Great Nation light-years ahead of China, Europe, and everyone else, who are constantly trying to catch up, but simply cannot do so,” Trump said.
