"Crypto Week" in the United States#
The House Financial Services Committee officially announced that the week from July 14 to July 18, 2025, is known as "Crypto Week," during which lawmakers will discuss three key pieces of legislation: the GENIUS Act to regulate the issuance of stablecoins, the CLARITY Act to define the roles of regulatory bodies like the SEC and CFTC, and the Anti‑CBDC Surveillance State Act to prohibit the issuance of a digital currency by the Federal Reserve.
Following the announcement, the price of Bitcoin surged to a record high of over $120,000, supported by strong institutional investment flows and expectations for clear and attractive regulation for capital.
If these laws are enacted, they could provide a clear legislative environment for the industry and enhance the United States' position as a global leader in digital financial innovation.
