Report: Gamers accounted for nearly half of blockchain activity in January
Gamer activity accounted for nearly half (48%) of all blockchain activity in the first month of 2023, according to a new report from DappRadar. Additionally, the market capitalization of top gaming tokens increased by an average of 122% in January, with the Gala Games ecosystem’s digital utility token GALA soaring by 218%.
According to the report, interest in these gaming tokens is rising as the industry craze hits mainstream audiences. For example, Gala Games acquired a new mobile game studio with over $20 million in assets under management and 15 games.
