Is it bad if I only buy coins when they have cute logos? 🐶💎

I just started learning about crypto a few weeks ago and I might have a tiny problem… I keep buying coins just because the logo is cute or the name sounds magical.
My first buy was DOGE because… well, the Shiba. Then I bought something called “Magic” (yes, real name) just because it made me smile.
I know this probably isn't “smart investing,” but how do you actually pick what to buy? Charts? News? Instinct??
How did you decide which was your first coin?
I’d really love to hear from someone who knows what they’re doing, because clearly I don’t 😂
