📣 Many people around me ask, 'Aren't you working anymore?' 'What exactly do you do?' In fact, I have always been seriously 'working'.
👀 It's just that my office is on-chain, my commute is on Twitter and Telegram, I don't need to sit at a fixed desk, and I don't need to clock in.
This is a journey that gradually grants me time freedom and financial freedom, as well as a long-term reshaping of my mindset and cognition💻.
💚 The essence of time freedom is not 'I don't work', but 'I can choose when, where, and how to work'.
The world of Web3 is inherently asynchronous collaboration: global DAO members, remote project development, on-chain operations, decentralized governance, no one calls you to a meeting every morning at 9 o'clock, and no one gives you performance ratings.
All you need is:
🔹 A computer;
🔹 A wallet;
🔹 Some projects worth your participation.
💚 Economic freedom is not about getting rich overnight, but 'my life is no longer limited by traditional income structures'. It is no longer about 'working for a salary', but a diversified income combination; I rely less on a single employer and more on my own judgment, aesthetics, and action.
💚 But Web3 freedom also means risks and responsibilities. Freedom is never without a cost❗️
The freedom of Web3 is not a utopia; it is more like:
🔷 No boss to back you up;
🔷 Result-oriented, you need to deliver convincing outcomes;
🔷 No clear path telling you 'what to do next'.
💚 Here, everything depends on your judgment of the future, your understanding of the market, and your execution ability.
There was a time when I was anxious, confused, and unsure if 'doing this is worth it'❓.
But Web3 is a 'compound interest track', every skill, every connection, every choice you plant will reward you in ways you never imagined🌳.
💚 What have I gained?
In the past few years in Web3, I haven't earned the myth of 'getting rich quick', but I have gained:
🔹 A richer skill set;
🔹 More international partners;
🔹 A more flexible pace of life;
🔹 A more solid economic foundation closer to my long-term goals;
🔹 A stronger belief: 'I have the ability to take control of my life.'
💚 If you also want to enter Web3, I suggest you:
🔹 Starting from your professional skills, find an entry point (writing/design/technology/community/research);
🔹 Find a project you are willing to dive into, start as a volunteer, and keep tagging along;
🔹 Treat your on-chain experiences as 'career assets', not 'speculative side jobs';
🔹 Accumulate your identity, credibility, income, and freedom in Web3 through time and contributions.
📝 Web3 is not about 'escaping a job', it is about redefining what 'work' means.
💚 If you are also looking for a path to freedom, perhaps we can meet on-chain👋🏻.
